Joint Venture: The Editions of Karen McCready and Jean-Yves Noblet

September 19, 2001: IPCNY opens the 2001/2002 season with "Joint Venture". The Editions of Karen McCready and Jean-Yves Noblet". The exhibition presents editions realized between 1991 and 2000 in a variety of media. The publishers offered a wide range of possibilities to their artists who responded to the invitation by creating images of invention and beauty.

Represented in the exhibition are carbon transfers on silkscreen by Kate Shepard, photogravure and screenprints on felt by Lorna Simpson, hand colored etchings by Sandy Gellis, Iris Prints by Lisa Yound, and a bit of everything--lithography, silkscreen, silver foil stamping and embossing--by Matthew Barney. Multi-color screen prints by Roy Lichtenstein, Julia Jacquette, Donald Baechler and Georgia Marsh are also included.
