the first time at IPCNY, all prints on exhibit are available
for purchase in an ongoing silent auction. Proceeds will
be used to benefit IPCNY's programs. This event will give
collectors an opportunity to purchase superior original
artists' prints at a range of affordable prices (minimum
starting bids will begin around $100) and to support a growing
non-profit organization. Images and bidding information
on all prints in the exhibition are available here.
IPCNY's
New Prints Program, an ongoing series of exhibitions of
brand new prints presented four times each season in our
Chelsea gallery, has significantly impacted the field of
printmaking by bringing to the public a range of excellent
new work from an astounding diversity of sources. With the
opening of this space in September 2000, IPCNY created a
permanent, non-commercial open venue for artists, emerging
and established, to exhibit their most recent print projects.
Hundreds of exceptional contemporary prints have been presented,
illustrating a wide variety of print techniques from etchings
on paper, to three dimensional and site-specific work, to
the most current digital processes. By establishing this
unique and ongoing forum for exhibiting prints by artists
at all stages of their careers, IPCNY moves forward with
its mission to enlarge audiences for the visual arts.
