Sheila Marbain developed the silk monotype process, a combination of encaustic and screen printing, in 1990. In this technique the artist draws directly on taut silk with materials such as pencil, wax crayon, pastel, etc. The image is then printed using a wax medium which releases the pigment from the silk and transfers and seals it onto the paper.

Mixographia® is a unique fine art printing process that allows for the production of three-dimensional prints with texture and very fine surface detail. The artist incises, impresses, carves or applies, with any solid material or combination of materials, the work of art to be produced from which a series of printing plates are then cast. Luis Remba and his son, Shaye Remba, both engineers, oversee and maintain the workshop facility.
